We like that idea, but “iji” (pronounced like saying the letters "e-g") is an Inuit word meaning “eye”. Michael Scott is the owner and president of iji analytics llc, a firm focusing on product development, product management, and management strategy for data-intensive companies, with particular expertise with personal lines insurance companies. He is a master of “transforming data into profit.”
Mike has nearly 20 years experience in insurance product management and development, including nine years at the personal lines division of GMAC Insurance. At GMAC, Mike led their Product Development team in developing cutting-edge product designs and pricing models for autos, motorcycles, RVs — basically, anything on wheels. His team’s personal auto product — the company’s flagship line of business — was rated as the #2 most sophisticated such product in the industry.
As a Product Manager, Mike has a stellar track record of profit and growth, with a valuable touch in rescuing troubled programs. He ultimately served as the leader of GMAC’s Agency PM team, managing a business with over $600 million in premium.
Mike earned his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, with an emphasis in Marketing (and a second-to-none emphasis in Basketball), and graduated with honors with a BBA from Baylor University. He lives in Tennessee with his wife and 4 children.
